I am so excited to have started another calendar project just recently. This is my second year in putting together Enerjoy Fitness’ own Ageless Women Calendar and I am anxious to see how it all comes together. A couple of weeks ago I had my first meeting with twelve gorgeous ladies, ages 40 – 75, who were invited to be part of this inspiring project over the next six months. My motivation behind this project is to create a platform for women to inspire other women! I am passionate about dispelling the myth that the body gets worse over time, by proving to ot that they can get better and better, through eating right and fitness! All of the ladies participating in this project have been clients of mine for one year to as many as ten years. While we were introducing ourselves at the meeting it was neat to hear how they were inspired to make positive changes in their life. Each one of them had different “Ah-ha” moments where they decided a change was in order in their life. It was amazing to me how many of them were inspired by each other’s story; they will certainly continue to feed off of one another’s motivation throughout this project!
If you go to www.enerjoyfitness.com you can see some of the fun group photos we took during last year’s photo shoot. They are on our home page and within the Bodies by Enerjoy area of our website.
Stay tuned for more entries about our road to putting this awesome project together over the next few months.

Enerjoy Fitness in North Scottsdale has produced its 1st Annual Ageless Women Calendar just in time for the New Year! An inspiration of Enerjoy Fitness Founder Ilana Arzt, the calendar features clients of Enerjoy Fitness, most of them over 40, all disproving the myth of the older you are, the more out of shape you become. Each gorgeous woman in the calendar has their own story of their starting point and how focus and determination helped them achieve their ideal level of fitness. “It’s been a joy to watch each of them get better all the time, not by driving them to a breaking point, but by inspiring consistency and being by their side every stop of the way!” states Arzt. “I am grateful for the opportunity to be in the Ageless Women Calendar, which I hope will be an inspiration to many women to not let go of their health when they reach their middle life,” comments calendar participant Mary Jo Colucci. Enerjoy Fitness offers a variety of Personal Training, Group Fitness Programs, and Breakthrough Nutrition Programs at affordable pricing. For a copy of the calendar and to find out more about Enerjoy Fitness call 480.510.8547.

If you have trouble losing weight (even if you watch what you eat), then it is crucial to examine your adrenal function and your hormone levels.
This will reveal how your body is functioning internally and will give possible clues as to why your body will not lose the fat despite your efforts.
Take the following Hormonal Assessment and find out if your adrenals are fatigued from being under prolonged stress
- Do you often feel tired, especially in the afternoon?
- Do you crave sweets or carbs such as bread, pasta, cookies?
- Do you have dry skin or dry hair?
- Do you have tension headaches or migraine?
- Do you have insomnia or disturbed sleep?
- Are you irritable, anxious or depressed?
- Do you experience hot flashes or night sweats?
- Do you feel stiff or achy, mostly in the morning?
- Do you have trouble losing weight (even if you watch what you eat)?
- Do you feel rushed and/or overwhelmed?
If you answered yes to one or more of the questions your adrenals might be fatigued from being under prolonged stress:
Adrenal and Hormone Profile Testing
A simple saliva test tells you how your adrenals are functioning. The adrenal function test shows 4 levels of Cortisol and 2 levels of DHEA. The same test also shows levels of Testosterone, Estrogen, Progesterone and Melatonin. Having balanced levels of these hormones is crucially important for overall health, especially for maintaining ideal weight, for skin quality, for muscle mass and bone density, for heart health and energy production. If you body is in a state of adrenal fatigue and your hormonal balance has been upset, then losing fat becomes difficult:
We are facing an epidemic of obesity because the stresses on the body have reached an all time high.
They come from our lifestyle, from processed foods, activity levels and from many emotional sources. This disrupts underlying hormonal balance.
Simply reducing calories if the body is not in balance will give very short and limited results. It is not about the amount of calories but it is about what the body does with the calories, and that’s immediately related to your hormonal imbalance.
Find out your adrenal function and balance your hormones!
If you want to discover how to restore hormonal balance the natural way, you can take the hormonal saliva test.
You can participate in this program from the comfort of your own home. Result consultations can be done by phone. Test kits are either given to you in-person or can be mailed out to you for pre-paid mail return.
Once I receive your test results from the lab, you will receive a complete interpretation of the test results during a one hour consultation. In addition, I will provide suggestions for a 90-day therapeutic protocol to restore normal functions through natural, bio-identical hormone therapy.
We offer 20% off from your consultation fee until December 31, 2009
Call Christi at 480-338-6355 and discover how you can STOP sabotaging your efforts by restoring hormonal balance.
Why wait to feel good?

Ingredients
- 1\2 cup cooked short grain brown rice
- 1/2 tbsp salt
- 1/2 lemon
- 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
- 2 sheets nori
- 1\2 avocado, sliced thinly
- 1 Persian cucumber, sliced thinly lengthwise
- 4 oz sashimi-grade fillet sliced into long chunks
Rub salt into the salmon and sprinkle it with lemon juice. Leave it for an hour for the salmon to absorb salt. Cook rice according to package directions. Drain the rice. Add vinegar and toss to coat. Lay two sheets of nori, shiny side down, on a mat. Sprinkle with water to make them a little bit wet. They become sticky. On each sheet add rice, pressing it gently until it is evenly distributed. Place remaining ingredients in a horizontal line down the middle, overlapping if necessary (divide all the ingredients in two even portions, one portion per nori sheet). Roll nori keeping the ingredients inside. Grip the roll hard to make sure it's tight and closed.
